He completed his internship in internal medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University where he earned the award for “Providers of the Year.” He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, serving as chief resident during his final year.
He is trained in refractive based cataract surgery, including the use of astigmatism correcting corneal procedures and intraocular lenses, as well as “premium” presbyopia correcting intraocular lenses. Every patient’s vision and visual potential is unique, and Dr. Ross-Hirsch strives to optimize visual outcomes for all his patients. He is also excited to integrate his training in microinvasive glaucoma surgery into the practice, offering patients an additional avenue for comprehensive eye care at the time of cataract surgery.
Dr. Ross-Hirsch is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has presented at numerous academic grand rounds and ophthalmologic conferences, contributing to the ongoing education and professional development of his peers. He currently holds a board eligible status with the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He is on staff at Stamford Hospital and operates at the Wilton Surgery Center.
Dr. Ross-Hirsch was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, NY. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cooking, playing music, and golfing.
